Michelle Murray PhD, RNC-OB

Dr. Michelle L. Murray is a 1975 graduate of the UCLA School of Nursing (BSN). She received her Master of Science degree in Nursing in 1981. Her PhD from the University of New Mexico is in instructional design and human resource development. Dr. Murray’s research interests include how nurses learn fetal monitoring and conceptualize concepts such as late entries or hyper stimulation. She is certified in in-patient obstetrics and is licensed in Florida, California, and New Mexico. Dr. Murray has more than 30 years of experience in the practice of nursing. She also holds a clinical appointment at the University of New Mexico as an associate professor of nursing. In 1986 she created Learning Resources International Inc. (www.fetalmonitoring.com). She has written several books for obstetric nurses including her latest book Labor and Delivery Nursing: A Guide to Evidence-based Practice (© 2009).

Dianne Charsha RN, MSN, NNP-BN

Dianne acquired her BSN at Wilkes College in 1985. She completed her MSN at the University of Pennsylvania in 1986 specializing in perinatal nursing. In 1992, she acquired her Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner post graduate degree in neonatal nursing from the University of Pennsylvania. Dianne has worked in a variety of clinical settings including PICU, NICU, pediatrics, well nursery, women’s health, and in obstetrics. She has been a MCH Clinical Nurse Specialist, a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner, a Nurse Practitioner Manager, and the Director of Neonatal Services and is now the Associate Chief Nursing Officer at Cooper University Hospital in Camden NJ. At Cooper, Dianne is responsible for the Children’s Regional Hospital at Cooper along with Maternity Services, Medical-Surgical Nursing, Critical Care Nursing, ED, Trauma Services, the Respiratory Therapy Department, and numerous outpatient clinics. Dianne has presented numerous neonatal topics since 1988. She is the author of chapters, articles, and videos all with the goal of enhancing nursing knowledge.

Barbara Herrera RNE

Barbara Herrera RNE, President/CEO, founded CE’s At Sea in 1992. Over the last 38 years, Barbara has had an expansive area of practice, ranging from NICU, PICU, ED, BMTV, OR, PACU, and, as time allows, practices bedside nursing at Children’s Hospital Medical Center in Cincinnati, Ohio. Barbara’s presentation style, although humorous at times, will challenge you to think seriously about your personal life choices and decisions.
